Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2, Movie Review

Guardians of the Galaxy was one of my favorite Marvel movies. In fact, I would even place it among my favorites. Its unique blend of roller coaster action, off the wall humor, stunning visuals and catchy beats was irresistible. This is remarkable because I remember seeing the trailer and thinking that Disney was scraping the bottom of the Marvel barrel. However, I really enjoyed Volume 1 despite my initial impression.

 The Guardians, headlined by Chris Pratt (as Star Lord), have excellent chemistry as they reprise their roles. The supporting cast is good as well, with Michael Rooker ( Yondu) leading the way. The action scenes are delightful and the eye popping visual scenery explodes across the screen. Like the first movie, the soundtrack contains the best of the 60's and 70's. This is one movie you really should see in theater to soak in the sights and sounds.
